A significant police operation in Delta State has led to breakthroughs in two major cases, with officers apprehending a suspect in a brutal murder and dismantling a suspected cult and armed robbery syndicate.
The Delta State Police Command credited the success to its intelligence-led policing strategy, which combines proactive patrols with community collaboration.

In a tragic case in Agbor, 25-year-old Musa Buhari was arrested for the abduction and murder of commercial motorcyclist Friday Orumgbe, 53.
According to police, Buhari confessed that he and an accomplice, now at large, posed as passengers before luring the victim to a secluded area, attacking him with a hoe, and stealing his motorcycle.
He subsequently led operatives to the site where the victim’s decomposed body was recovered.
In a separate operation in Warri, a gold-coloured Lexus SUV parked suspiciously in the Ubeji community was intercepted by a patrol team in the early hours of 19th October.
The occupants, Christian Agbajor Akpos, 33, and Sophia Thomas, 26, were arrested after a search uncovered a locally made cut-to-size double-barrelled gun, a battle axe, and live and expended cartridges.
