THE Commissioner of Police for Delta State, CP Yemi Oyeniyi, has reaffirmed his Command’s commitment to deepening collaboration with the Nigeria Immigration Service to bolster security and border management across the state.
CP Oyeniyi gave the assurance on Tuesday during a courtesy visit by the State Comptroller of Immigration, C.I Christiana Solo-Akora, and members of her management team to the Command Headquarters in Asaba.
The meeting served as a platform for both agencies to enhance information sharing, harmonise operational strategies, and strengthen inter-agency cooperation in tackling cross-border crime and other security threats.
The Police Commissioner commended the Immigration Service for its vital contributions to national security and underscored the importance of sustained synergy among sister agencies in the collective effort to safeguard lives and property within Delta State.

“We remain fully committed to working hand-in-hand with the Immigration Service and other security bodies to ensure a seamless and effective security architecture across the state,” CP Oyeniyi stated.
The visit, which was characterised by cordial deliberations, signals a renewed push for joint operations and intelligence-led policing along Delta’s border corridors, as both agencies seek to address smuggling, illegal migration and other transnational crimes.
