How Bandits Killed Pastor In Kwara Despite Collecting N5 Million Ransom

A pastor of the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA), Reverend James Audu Issa was killed by armed bandits after he was abducted from Ekati village in the Patigi Local Government Area of Kwara State, despite reportedly paying a N5 million ransom.

The cleric was kidnapped around 28 August 2025, plunging his family, church members, and the local community into weeks of anguish as they struggled to meet the abductors’ demands.

Sources told Nupeko TV that the kidnappers initially demanded N100 million for his release. Following intense negotiations, the ransom was reduced to N5 million, which the impoverished community managed to raise and pay in hopes of securing his freedom.

Tragically, after receiving the payment, the bandits reportedly demanded an additional N45 million. Before any further discussions could take place, they brutally killed Reverend Issa.
