Operatives of the Adamawa State Police Command attached to the State Intelligence Department (SID) have apprehended two suspected kidnappers.
This is in view of enhancing security and crime preventions strategy in a decisive Community Policing Service in the state.
SIM cards of several mobile networks and hand phones were recovered from the suspects.

The apprehended suspects included Abuchi Godwin Ayogo, 32 years old, and David Francis 33 years, both residents of Garin Gidado Village in Gassol Local Government Area of Taraba State, Nigeria.
Image-maker of the command, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, in a statement, said “recently the command received a report on May 28, 2024, from one Kinsley Eze, a resident of Gurin, in Fufore Local Government Area, that he had received several calls from unknown subscribers who had threatened to kidnap and kill him unless he paid N3,000,000) .
“The operatives of the Command immediately commenced investigation leading to the arrest of two suspects involved in the threat to kidnap, kill and unlawful demands.
“Interestingly, both of them confessed committing the crime and being part of a notorious kidnapping gang operating in Taraba and parts of Adamawa states.
“The arrest of these two suspected kidnappers underscores the unwavering commitment of the command in eradicating all forms of criminal activities and instilling confidence in the residents of the state.”
