Operatives of the Benin Zonal Command of the Nigeria’s anti-graft agency, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), have arrested three persons over alleged mutilation and abuse of the naira, Nigeria’s national currency.
The arrested suspects included Stanley Ogbolu, 35, Odiaka Sorwu 42, and Kelvin Anyakwu, 42.
The suspects
They were arrested following credible intelligence on their alleged involvement in the abuse of the Naira.
The suspects, who were arrested in Asaba, the Delta State capital, Nigeria, at a burial ceremony, allegedly “spraying” naira notes on a celebrant, will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.
Recall that notorious crossdresser, Olanrewaju Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, is serving a prison term after he was convicted and sentenced.
