AN octogenarian, Pa Stephen, as simply identified, has been arrested for allegedly defiling a 10-year-old girl.
He was arrested by the Bayelsa State Police Command at Otuokpoti community, Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.

Reports said the suspected serial paedophile was apprehended following a tip-off from concerned individuals in the community.
The victim’s foster mother was said to have noticed unusual behavior and illness in the girl, leading to the discovery of the alleged abuse.
Gender advocacy groups, including Dise Ogbise Foundation, Reigneth Foundation, Starrz Safety Initiative, and Collins Cocodia Foundation, are said to be involved in the case and have condemned the alleged act.
Pa Stephen, who is said to be suffering from an advanced pile and hernia, has been taken to the state police headquarters in Yenagoa for further investigation.

The police have promised to thoroughly investigate the matter and ensure justice is served.
