Pastor Defiles 18-Year-Old During Deliverance Session In Lagos

A self-acclaimed cleric, Pastor Shola Michael Lasisi, of the Chapel of Glory and Peace, Igando, Lagos, has landed in trouble for allegedly having sex with an 18-year old girl during a midnight deliverance session.

Feelers gleaned from P.M.EXPRESS showed that the suspect, Pastor Lasisi, has been arrested and charged for allegedly having unlawful carnal knowledge of the victim.

The incident happened on August 18, 2024, at Igando Road, Moshalashi Bus Stop, Ikotun, Lagos, Nigeria.

The police authorities said the gullible victim traveled from Atan, Ogun State, to seek spiritual prayers over an undisclosed problem from the cleric, who promised to deliver her.

While the deliverance session was ongoing, the pastor was said to have started fiddling with parts of the lady’s luscious body including her breasts and other private parts.

At the peak of the smooching, Pastor Lasisi went ahead to have a carnal knowledge of the lady.

After the act, the victim was said to have regained her consciousness, realising that she had been taken advantage of.

Thereafter, the disturbed victim (names withheld) went to the Ikotun Police Division to report the randy pastor.

Police operatives later arrested and detained Pastor Lasisi at the station for interrogation over his alleged misconduct.

After interrogation, the Police reportedly found the suspect culpable and charged him before the Ogba Magistrate Court with rape which attracts several years of imprisonment.

The charge sheets read:

“COUNT 1: That you, Shola Michael Lasisi, ‘M’ on 18/08/2024 between 000hrs- 0100hrs, Igando Road, Moshalashi B/Stop, Ikotun Lagos, in the Lagos Magisterial District, did unlawfully touch one Adeluka Adesola ‘F’ of 18yrs old all over her body and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under section 263(1) of the Lagos State Criminal Law 2015.”

“COUNT II: That you, Shola Michael Lasisi, ‘M’ on the same date, time and place in the aforesaid Magisterial District, did unlawfully have canal knowledge of the victim and thereby committed an offence contrary to the provisions of Section 260 of Lagos State Criminal Law 2015.”

It was gathered that the Court did not take his plea when he was arraigned following a motion moved by the prosecutor, Supol Akeem Raji, asking the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for legal advice because of the nature of the alleged offence.

The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. B.O. Osunsanmi, ordered his remand in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending the outcome of the DPP’s advice and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to the DPP.

The matter was adjourned till 30th September, 2024, for mention for the report of the DPP’s advice to be ready, which will determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not over jurisdiction.
