AN Abuja-based gospel singer, Oluwatimilehin Ajayi, is behind bars after he was caught with his girlfriend’s severed head in a nylon bag.
CrimesChroniclers gathered that the beheading took place at Ajayi’s residence, on Monday, January 13, 2025, when his girlfriend, Eleojo Salome Adaida, went visiting.
Ajayi was arrested after an intelligence tip-off led law enforcement agents to an uncompleted building in the area.
During interrogation, Ajayi confessed to the crime and revealed that the rest of his girlfriend’s body was at his residence.
The incident, has, since then, sparked widespread outrage and shock, with many expressing their condolences to the victim’s family.
The FCT police spokesperson has confirmed the tragic incident and arrest of the culprit.
However, the motive behind Ajayi’s actions, according to the police spokesperson, is still unclear. Further investigation is needed to determine the circumstances surrounding the heinous crime.
