DELSU Staff Assassinated In His Asaba Residence

A staff of the Bursary Department, Delta State University (DELSU) Abraka, Mr. Olisaemeka Chukwuma, has been assassinated.

The 56-year-old staff was taken out on Friday at his residence in Umueji, Asaba, the Delta State capital, it was gathered.

The incident has been confirmed by the institution’s bursar, Mrs Otimeyin Ekakitie-Omajuwa, who described the killing as shocking.

CrimesChroniclers gathered that the deceased had the pastime of always visiting his home in Asaba from Abraka every weekend.

The assassins had obviously studied his weekend movement to strike while he returned home last Friday as usual.

The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, SP Bright Edafe, who confirmed the incident, assured that the police would get to the root of the matter.
