Islamic Cleric Behind Bars For Alleged Ritual Murder Of Final Year Student

KWARA State Police Command has arrested an Islamic cleric, Abdulrahman Mohad Ballo, for allegedly murdering a final-year student of Kwara State College of Education, Lawal Hafsoh Yetunde.
It was reliably gathered that the suspect met Yetunde on Facebook, obtained her phone number, and lured her to his home, where he allegedly dismembered her body for ritual purposes.
Yetunde was last seen attending a naming ceremony on February 10, 2025. After receiving a call, she stepped aside and left.
Her family reported her missing the next day, and the police used her phone number to trace her last call, leading them to the suspect’s residence, CrimesChroniclers further gathered.

Initially, the suspect denied knowing Yetunde’s whereabouts, but a search of his home revealed her dismembered body, along with equipment used for the alleged ritual killing.
Police also found suspicious tools in his room, suggesting a possible pattern of ritual killings.
The Kwara State Police Command‘s Public Relations Officer, Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi, has confirmed the incident, and the suspect is currently in custody.
