Authorities Begin Search For Man Responsible For Fatally Shooting Bouncer Outside Bar

LAW enforcement authorities are actively seeking a suspect accused of fatally shooting a bouncer outside a bar in southeast Houston on Sunday.

The incident occurred shortly before 2 a.m. at a bar located on Telephone Road, near the South Loop.

According to the Houston Police Department, a physical altercation broke out between the bouncer and a patron, prompting the patron to leave the scene and return with a firearm.

Upon returning, the patron allegedly shot the bouncer, resulting in fatal injuries. A bystander standing nearby was also struck by gunfire but is expected to make a full recovery, authorities said.

Following the shooting, the suspect fled the scene on foot, heading northbound on Telephone Road, according to police.
