A 39-year-old Nigerian national, Patrick Onjejeke, has appeared before the Mokopane Magistrate’s Court on charges of drug dealing following his arrest in a high-stakes operation led by the South African Police Service (SAPS) Provincial Organised Crime Unit.
Onjejeke was intercepted on Wednesday, 10 July, along Thabo Mbeki Street near Evergreen Junior Campus in Mokopane, Limpopo.
The operation resulted in the seizure of a stash of illicit substances including heroin, CAT (methcathinone), and cocaine, with a combined estimated street value of R100,000.00.

According to SAPS, the arrest forms part of an ongoing crackdown on drug syndicates operating within the province.
The suspect was promptly taken into custody during the targeted operation and is currently being held pending further legal proceedings.
The case has been remanded to Sunday, 14 July, for a formal bail application.

Authorities say the fight against drug trafficking and abuse remains a top priority, particularly in areas close to educational institutions and vulnerable communities.
Investigations are ongoing.
