RIVERS: So-Called Pastor In Viral Spiritual Cleansing Video Arrested

AUTHORITIES have arrested a self-proclaimed pastor, Ifediorah Onyeibor Joseph, aged 41, along with several members of his congregation, after a distressing footage surfaced online.

It was a deeply disturbing case of child abuse disguised as religious ritual rocking the Eneka community in the Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State.

The viral video allegedly depicts minors being subjected to degrading treatment during what was described as a three-day “spiritual cleansing” session — a practice Joseph claimed was inspired by the Holy Spirit!

The Rivers State Commissioner of Police, CP Olugbenga Adepoju, confirmed the arrests and assured the public that all the children involved had been rescued and placed in protective custody.

“This case is under thorough investigation, and everyone involved will be held accountable under the law,” Adepoju stated, calling on residents to remain calm but alert.
