Kano Police Officers Trained On Professional Conduct, Public Courtesy

THE Kano State Police Command organized a lecture on Attitudinal Change for its officers, in line with efforts to promote professionalism and improve relations between the police and the public.

The lecture was delivered by Dr Joseph Danley, National President of the Foundation for Correction of Moral Decadence (FCMD). His presentation emphasised the importance of positive attitudes, professionalism and courtesy in police work, while highlighting humanity, love and unity as core values for effective policing.

The initiative reflects the directives of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD, NPM, who has consistently stressed the need for attitudinal change as a means of fostering trust and integrity within the Force.

During the event, organized on Monday, September 8, the “Attitudinal Change Handbook for the Nigeria Police Force” was officially launched. The handbook is intended to serve as a guide for officers in upholding excellence, integrity and ethical standards in their duties.

Commissioner of Police, Kano State Command, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, PhD, praised the Inspector-General for the initiative and urged officers to study the handbook diligently. He encouraged them to “fear God in your service… serve with integrity, professionalism and compassion.”

The Command reaffirmed its commitment to advancing the Inspector-General’s vision for a more professional and community-oriented Police Force, while expressing gratitude to Dr Danley for his impactful contribution.
