THE Nigeria Police Force has successfully recovered two high-end vehicles stolen from Amsterdam and Midden-Nederland in the Netherlands and shipped to Nigeria through the port of Antwerp in Belgium.
According to Force spokesperson, ACP Benjamin Hundeyin, the vehicles were traced to locations in Lagos and Akwa Ibom States, where they were subsequently seized and subjected to legal proceedings at the Federal High Court in Abuja.
Following due process, the court granted a final forfeiture order in favour of the Government of the Netherlands, acting through the vehicles’ insurance company, thus paving the way for their lawful return.
On 20 October 2025, INTERPOL NCB Abuja officially handed over the vehicles to representatives of the Dutch Embassy and the insurance company during a brief ceremony in Abuja.
