HallowMace Foundation Urges Tactical Overhaul Following Ambush Death Of Brig. Gen. Uba

THE HallowMace Foundation Africa has issued a public condolence to the Nigerian Armed Forces, expressing profound grief over the death of Brigadier General M. Uba, who was killed by ISWAP terrorists after a successful joint military operation.

In an open letter to the Chief of Defence Staff, the pan-African peace and security advocacy group described the news as sending “shockwaves across the nation” and paid tribute to the fallen officer’s bravery and leadership.

The Brigadier General died following an air-ground offensive along the Damboa Biu axis.

The Foundation hailed him as a soldier who “embodied the highest ideals of service, courage, and patriotism,” stating his loss is a “painful blow to every Nigerian who yearns for peace and security.”

While acknowledging the “immense sacrifices” of troops in the North East, the Foundation used the “devastating incident” to issue a stark call to action.

It urged the military to avoid demoralisation and instead let the tragedy “fortify your resolve.”

Central to its statement was a direct appeal for a strategic review of frontline operations.

The Foundation called for a “renewed and reinforced commitment” to enhance officer safety, specifically urging a “thorough review of communication protocols and intelligence gathering to prevent such devastating ambushes in the future.”

The statement also pressed the Federal Government and the international community to ensure the armed forces are provided with “every necessary tool, technology, and resource required to decisively win this war against terrorism and insurgency.”

Reaffirming its solidarity with the Nigerian military, the HallowMace Foundation pledged to continue supporting troops and the families of the fallen, “advocating for the lasting peace for which heroes like Brigadier General Uba fought and died for.”

The letter concluded with prayers for the General’s soul and for fortitude for his family and colleagues.
