Police Arrest Three Cultists In Dawn Raids In Delta

POLICE operatives in Delta State have arrested three suspected members of the Aye Confraternity following coordinated dawn raids across Sapele and Oghara in a fresh crackdown on cult-related violence.

The suspects, identified as Miracle Umukoro (52), Mudiaga Ukavwe (31), and Solomon Oghoro, alias “Spartan” (30), were apprehended at about 5:30 a.m. on Monday, 24th November, by the CP Special Assignment Team led by ASP Julius Robinson.

The arrest followed credible intelligence on the activities of a violent cult network reportedly involved in criminal operations in the area.

During the operation, police recovered one pump-action gun, six live cartridges, one cutlass, and a Toyota Sienna vehicle (registration number LSR 621 JW) said to be used by the suspects for surveillance and logistics.

All three suspects have confessed to being members of the Aye Confraternity, according to police sources, and are currently assisting investigators in unravelling the wider network and operational structure of the cult group.

Commissioner of Police, CP Olufemi Abaniwonda, praised the operatives for their resilience and professionalism, stressing that the Command remains unwavering in its determination to dismantle cult groups and eradicate violent crime across Delta State.

The CP urged residents to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities to the nearest police station or the Command’s control room number.
