THE Anti-Cultism Unit of the Nigeria Police Force, Enugu State Command, has arrested six suspected cult members for their alleged involvement in forceful initiation activities in the state.
The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Daniel Ndukwe, said the suspects were apprehended while attempting to compel individuals to join the Supreme Vikings Confraternity.
According to him, operatives attached to the Anti-Cultism Tactical Squad acted on credible intelligence on 5 December 2025, leading to the arrest of the six male suspects. The operation uncovered their alleged role in the forceful initiation of victims on 25 November 2025 at a forest location in Ugwu Peak, Iva Valley, Enugu North Local Government Area.
Items allegedly used during the initiation exercise were recovered from the suspects, including one locally made double-barrelled pistol, four cutlasses and two empty bottles of Squadron rum.
The suspects were identified as Edeh Francis Chigbo, also known as “Saint” (22); Ogbu Fabulous, alias “Nwakanwa” (23); Odom Chiemerie, alias “Coded” (28); Nweke Anayo, alias “Chaplet” (22); Obumneme Obiechina, alias “Biggy” (30); and Chigozie Ugbene, alias “God Bless” (20).
SP Ndukwe disclosed that all the suspects confessed to being members of the secret cult group and admitted their involvement in the alleged criminal acts.
He added that the suspects would be charged to court upon the conclusion of investigations.
