Community Group Calls for Urgent Action

The Berom Youth Moulders Association (BYM) condemned the attack, describing the latest massacre as a painful reminder of the recurring violence that continues to claim innocent lives across Plateau State and other parts of North-Central Nigeria.

In a statement signed by BYM President, Barr. Dalyop Solomon Mwantiri, and National Publicity Secretary, Rwang Tengwong, the association expressed deep concern over the sustained pattern of violent attacks targeting predominantly Christian farming communities.

“Entire families have been wiped out, villages repeatedly invaded, homes destroyed, and thousands of residents displaced from their ancestral communities,” the statement read.

The group urged the Federal Government to intensify efforts to protect vulnerable communities, dismantle terrorist hideouts, apprehend and prosecute perpetrators, and ensure justice for victims and their families.

BYM also called on the international community—including the United Nations, the United States, the African Union, the European Union, ECOWAS, and international human rights organisations—to pay urgent attention to the deteriorating humanitarian and security situation in North-Central Nigeri.

“The continued bloodshed in Plateau State must not be ignored. The lives of innocent men, women, and children deserve protection, justice, and lasting peace. The time for decisive action is now,” BYM added.
