Suspect charged in fatal shooting of woman

MULTIPLE charges were filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a woman at 4521 Kashmere Street on Monday, July 15.

The 27-year-old suspect Darion King, according to Houston Police Department, was charged with murder in the 180th State District Court.

CrimesChroniclers reports that the the identity of the 32-year-old victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

Houston Police Department Homicide Division Sergeant J. Brooks and Detective C. Flora reported:

“HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at an apartment complex at the above address and found an unresponsive woman with multiple gunshot wounds in an apartment she had been visiting.

“Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the woman deceased.

“Later, homicide detectives received information that a male, identified as King, wanted to speak with them regarding what happened.

“After obtaining a statement from King, the Harris County District Attorney’s Office was contacted and King was subsequently charged for his role in the shooting.

“King was arrested without incident and booked into the Harris County Jail.”
