Troops of the Joint Task Force (North-East), Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK), have arrested suspected Boko Haram collaborators, including an alleged drone supplier, and neutralised insurgents during coordinated operations across Adamawa and Borno states.
According to a statement issued on 19 February 2026 by Lieutenant Colonel Sani Uba, Media Information Officer at Headquarters Joint Task Force (North-East) Operation HADIN KAI, the operations were conducted in collaboration with local vigilantes and hunters.
In Adamawa State, troops of Sector 4 under the 28 Task Force Brigade apprehended a 28-year-old suspect, Ismail Muhammed, described as a logistics supplier for the террорист group, in the Visik General area of Hong Local Government Area.
Items recovered from him included an AK-47 magazine, rounds of 7.62mm ammunition, military accoutrements and assorted foodstuffs.
He is currently in custody and undergoing further investigation.
In a separate operation in Madagali Local Government Area, Sector 4 troops carried out an ambush along the Visik River line, where they neutralised a suspected terrorist commander identified as Abdullahi Mafa.
An AK-47 rifle and a loaded magazine were recovered at the scene.
Acting on further intelligence, troops also arrested 64-year-old Dauda Usman Gubula at Madagali Motor Park. He is alleged to have supplied drones to insurgents, which were reportedly modified locally and used in attacks against troops.
Recovered items included two aerial drones, drone accessories and 20 solar power banks.
Military authorities said efforts were ongoing to dismantle insurgent supply networks in the region.
Meanwhile, in Borno State, troops of Operation HADIN KAI under Sector 2, working alongside local vigilantes and members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), repelled insurgent activity in Ngamdu.
During the encounter, a suspected terrorist informant attempting to breach defensive positions was neutralised, and logistics items were recovered.
Military officials said the operations form part of sustained efforts to disrupt Boko Haram supply chains, restore security and safeguard communities across the North-East.
The Military High Command commended the troops for their sacrifices and dedication in the ongoing counter-insurgency campaign, urging them to maintain operational momentum in the fight against terrorism in the region.
