NURTW chieftain sentenced for attacking Nollywood actor

A chieftain of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Ganiyu Oyedepo, popularly known as Kokozaria, has been sentenced to prison for allegedly attacking Nollywood actor, Alhaji Ade Adele.

According to report, a Lagos Chief Magistrate’s Court, on Thursday, remanded Kokozaria after he pleaded not guilty to the charges filed against him by the operatives of the Force Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (FCIID).

The NURTW boss was accused of working with his associates to attack the Nollywood actor at a party in Idimu, Lagos, on June 25.

One of Kokozaria’s boys, according to court papers shared online, attacked the Nollywood actor by hitting him with a bottle and then stabbing him with it.

The report also stated that Kokozaria was charged with assault causing injury, conspiracy to commit a felony by recruiting others to harm someone, and a willful breach of peace.
