IN its further clampdown on the menace of substandard drugs, the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration Control (NAFDAC) on Monday morning uncovered a large consignment of substandard drugs at Idumota, Lagos.

This was disclosed in its official X handle on Monday.
“#IdumotaUpdate This morning, we uncovered large consignments of Cocodamol and falsified GSK Ampiclox, which have been evacuated,” the agency tweeted.
NAFDAC further disclosed that “also found were Benxhexol-5 tablets, packaged in cellophane sachets likely for further processing into finished products and possibly labelled with falsified NAFDAC Registration Numbers.”
