A mother, Mrs. Stella Edem, has confessed how she gave out her 19-year old daughter to a human trafficking syndicate for prostitution abroad and has been receiving N50,000 commission from the agent in Lagos.
Our source, P.M.EXPRESS, reported that Mrs. Edem also revealed that so far, she has received N500,000 from the syndicate over her daughter’s prostitution in Mauritania before she was arrested.
Mrs. Stella Edem and Susan Michael were arrested by Police operatives from the Zone 2 Command Headquarters, Onikan, Lagos, having been operating in Ipaja/Ayobo area of Lagos State.
However, they were busted on the 22nd March, 2025, by operatives of Zonal Intelligence Response Squad (ZIRS) led by SP Francis Kpoughul.
The Police stormed their base at Command in Meran Area of Lagos, where Stella Edem and Susan Michael were arrested.
This was disclosed by the Police Public Relations officer, CSP Ayuba Umma, who confirmed the arrest of the suspects now in custody undergoing interrogation.
The PPRO stated that already, one of the suspects, Stella Edem, has confessed to the crime, adding that she was introduced into it by one Annabel ‘f’ who is based in Mauritania by Rosemary Isaiah Otobong ‘f’ who has been prosecuted for the same offence and is currently serving jail term in a Nigeria Correctional facility.
 She added that Annabel contracted her to recruit young girls below the age of 22 years to be used as sex workers in Mauritania and that she is being paid ₦50,000.00 as commission on each young girl sent to Mauritania.
She confessed that among other girls she recruited was her 19-year old daughter, stating that she has so far received over a total of Five Hundred Thousand Naira (₦500,000.00k) from Annabel as Commission.
