SEOUL — South Korean prosecutors on Wednesday raided the headquarters of the former ruling party of jailed ex-president Yoon Suk Yeol as part of an investigation into alleged election meddling by his wife, Kim Keon Hee, a day after her arrest on corruption charges.
Kim, 52, was taken into custody late Tuesday on multiple counts, including stock manipulation and corruption, prosecutors said.
Her arrest followed a review by the Seoul Central District Court of a request for a warrant, which was granted on grounds she could tamper with evidence.
Prosecutors said they submitted an 848-page brief detailing what they described as Kim’s “unlawful acts” before the court’s decision.

On Wednesday, investigators searched the People Power Party offices, seeking evidence of her suspected role in influencing parliamentary elections.
