A 16-year-old boy has been taken into custody after allegedly shooting and killing his sister’s boyfriend in west Houston.
The Houston Police Department reported the shooting occurred Monday on Richmond Avenue near Westheimer, just past Highway 6.
Investigators said the woman and her boyfriend, who share a child, were arguing when her teenage brother intervened and opened fire.
The victim was struck multiple times and pronounced dead at the scene.
According to police, the teen fled the area but was later arrested. An investigation is ongoing.
