The personnel of the Forward Operating Base (FOB) ESCRAVOS recorded these successes as part of ongoing efforts to boost Nigeria’s daily crude oil output and combat economic sabotage, pipeline vandalism, and related illicit activities.

Under the ongoing Operation DELTA SANITY II, the forces deactivated the illegal refining infrastructure and recovered the stolen products, which were found stored in 28 dugout pits and 6 polythene sacks. One (1) pumping machine was also seized.

A service statement confirmed that these achievements, secured through credible intelligence, align with the Strategic Directives of the Chief of the Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ikechukwu Ogalla (Admiralty Medal), which emphasise sustaining pressure on economic saboteurs.

The operations were carried out in a series of targeted strikes in the Obodo Omadino area of Warri South-West LGA, Delta State.

The first raid occurred on 2 October 2025, where operatives dismantled three illegal refining sites.

These sites contained 3,750 litres of stolen crude oil stored across 10 dugout pits and 6 polythene sacks.

In a final push on 6 October 2025, another two sites were dismantled at the same location, resulting in the recovery of a further 6,000 litres of stolen crude oil stored in 13 dugout pits.
