THE Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has expressed appreciation to the Governor of Abia State, Alex Otti; the Governor of Sokoto State, Ahmed Aliyu; Hon. Obi Aguocha; and other concerned Igbo leaders for their recent visit to Nnamdi Kanu at the Sokoto Correctional Centre.

The outlawed group, in a statement issued by its spokesperson, Emma Powerful, welcomed the gesture, describing the visit as a show of concern for Kanu’s wellbeing.
According to the statement, IPOB believes that such engagements are important steps toward ensuring justice and fairness.
IPOB reiterated its position that Kanu continues to maintain his innocence, adding that his supporters consider him a key advocate for the rights and interests of the Igbo people.
The organisation further stated that it remains hopeful that due process will prevail as legal proceedings continue.
The group urged the Federal Government to ensure transparency in all judicial processes concerning Kanu, while calling for peaceful and lawful efforts in addressing issues affecting the South-East region.
