Ghana Police Arrest Nigerian Suspect Wanted for Killing FRSC Officer, Daughter in Alleged Ritual Attack

AUTHORITIES in Ghana have arrested Victor Benjamin Fajemirokun, a Nigerian national wanted for the killing of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) officer, SRC Lasisi Funmilayo, and her young daughter in what investigators describe as a suspected ritual attack. The arrest marks a significant breakthrough in a case that has shocked communities across Nigeria.

According to the Ghana Police Service, Victor was tracked to a friend’s apartment after officers were alerted by a viral video detailing his alleged involvement in the gruesome murders. He had earlier been declared missing by police in Ogun State but reportedly fled to Ghana in an attempt to evade arrest by Nigerian authorities. Ghanaian officials confirmed that he is now in custody and preparations are underway to hand him over to Nigeria to face prosecution.

The development comes as Nigerian security agencies intensify efforts to unravel the circumstances surrounding the disappearance and death of the FRSC officer. Following the viral reports, the FRSC Sector Commander, CC Leye Adegboyega (fsi), and the Sector Intelligence Officer visited the Commissioner of Police in Osun State, CP Ibrahim Gotan, to obtain updates on the investigation.

CP Gotan disclosed that his officers had earlier apprehended a suspected herbalist believed to be connected to the case. He immediately summoned the Officer-in-Charge of the Kidnapping Unit, who revealed that investigations traced frequent phone communications between Victor and the suspected herbalist. Victor himself had been declared missing by his wife on 2 November 2025 at the Osun State Police Headquarters.

According to police findings, the herbalist was arrested in Iloko Ijesa, Osun State, and reportedly confessed that both SRC OO Lasisi and Victor had visited him for consultations. He alleged that Victor and his accomplices killed the FRSC officer and dismembered her body, which was later found inside a sack dumped in a river, without the head.

In a further shocking revelation, the herbalist claimed that the officer’s daughter had stayed with him for several days before Victor and his associates took her away. While he believes the child has been killed, he denied participating in the act or knowing the location of her remains.

The dismembered body of the FRSC officer was deposited at the Osun State Teaching Hospital, Osogbo, on 17 November 2025. Police say DNA analysis and autopsy examinations will be carried out once all suspects are arrested to ensure adequate evidence for prosecution, especially given the condition of the remains.

Despite Victor’s arrest in Ghana, Nigerian authorities say the manhunt for his accomplices continues. The Osun State Police Command reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring that all individuals involved in the killing of the officer and her daughter are brought to justice.
