THE Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Blessing Sheriff Agbebaku, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Brigadier General O.O. Braimah, describing his passing as a painful loss to Edo State, Owan land and Nigeria as a whole.
In a condolence message issued on behalf of the Assembly and the people of Owan Nation, Agbebaku paid tribute to the late senior military officer, praising his bravery, sacrifice and steadfast commitment to the peace and unity of the country.
The Speaker said Brigadier General Braimah died in active service to Nigeria and would be remembered as a gallant son of Owan whose courage and patriotism stood as an example for future generations.
He noted that the death of the army officer was not only a major blow to the Nigerian Armed Forces but also a deep wound to the people of Owan, Edo State and the entire nation.
Agbebaku extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, the Nigerian Armed Forces and all those mourning the fallen general, praying that Almighty God grants his soul eternal rest and gives strength to all affected by the loss.
He added that, though the nation grieves, Brigadier General Braimah’s sacrifice in defence of Nigeria would never be forgotten.
