Police Raid Hideout, Rescue Kidnap Victims, Recover Weapons

THE Nigeria Police Force has intensified its crackdown on organised crime, leading to major breakthroughs, including the rescue of kidnapped victims and the recovery of illegal firearms.
In Taraba State, police operatives stormed a criminal hideout at Wamunchi dry season rice farms on 26th February, acting on credible intelligence.
The operation resulted in the arrest of 20 male suspects, the recovery of an AK-47 rifle, seven rounds of live ammunition, three Dane guns, a motorcycle, and a bow and arrow.
The suspects are currently being profiled, and the case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigation.
Meanwhile, in Oyo State, a swift response by the Oyo State Police Command and local security outfits led to the rescue of three kidnapped victims—Olori Hakimat Sadia (50), Olori Rakyat (45), and Monsuru Ganiyu (20)—who had been abducted from the palace of Baale Tajudeen Inaolaji on 24th February.
One suspect was arrested in connection with the crime.
The Inspector General of Police (IGP) praised the officers’ bravery, stating: “These successes reaffirm our commitment to protecting lives and dismantling criminal networks.”

The police urged the public to avoid speculation on social media, warning that misinformation could endanger ongoing rescue operations.
Authorities reassured citizens that efforts to combat crime remain relentless, with a continued focus on ensuring public safety.
