TROOPS of Sector 2, Joint Task Force North East Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), working closely with the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), have intercepted two pick-up vans carrying logistics believed to be destined for Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists in Borno State.
The operation followed credible human intelligence which alerted headquarters to the movement of the supplies from Dapchi in Yobe State towards the Magumeri area of Borno State.

Acting swiftly on the intelligence, troops deployed tactically and intercepted the vehicles along the identified route.
A search of the vehicles led to the recovery of two civilian pick-up vans, 31 spare tyres, 23 spare rims, two bicycles, 12 ignition key starters, three alternators, two bags of flour, one mattress, five bags of charcoal, 34 tubers of yam, two blankets, two nylon bags of garri, assorted adult and children’s clothing, one power bank, six mobile phones and cash in various denominations.
The drivers of the vehicles, along with the recovered items, are currently in military custody for further interrogation.

Investigations, according to Lieutenant Colonel Sani Uba, Media Information Officer Joint Task Force (North East), Operation HADIN KAI, are ongoing to determine the extent of their involvement and to support wider counter-terrorism efforts.
The interception highlights the effectiveness of intelligence-led operations and the continued cooperation between troops and local security partners in disrupting terrorist supply networks.

Troops of Operation HADIN KAI remain resolute in their commitment to denying terrorists freedom of movement, cutting off their supply chains and ensuring the safety and security of law-abiding citizens across the North-East.
